Duluth Traverse Route from Haines Road to Twin Ponds
Amazing Views of Duluth, Lake Superior, and the St. Louis River – Haines Road to Twin Ponds
By Dave Grandmaison
Here’s another one of my favorite Duluth Traverse rides. The 6-mile route follows the Duluth ridge line and showcases some of the best views you’ll find in Duluth. There is a little bit of climbing but it’s on the easier end of the spectrum. It’s also a super fun ride in the winter!
You can pedal this one in either direction and then you can turn around and take it back to your starting point – and it’s like riding an entirely different trail. I consider this out-and-back route one of the best in town. I think you’ll agree – but let me know in the comments below.
Cheers! See you on the trail!
