The Rallying Cry from Duluth’s Online Craft Beer Fans
No doubt that if you’re a craft beer drinker in Minnesota and you spend any time whatsoever on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, you’ve come across #DuluthBeerCity. It’s a great way to tag your craft beer experiences in, and around, Duluth. It’s also a great way to search for and find local information about what’s on tap – both literally and figuratively – for craft beer in Duluth.
Duluth has been flexing its craft beer muscle with substantial expansions in the number of breweries and the overall production capacity of the local breweries as a whole. Suffice it to say, Duluth has made its mark on the map as a serious craft beer destination.
Growing trends in the craft beer tourism market combined with Duluth’s already vibrant tourism industry have helped support and nurture an eclectic and diverse craft beer scene that shows no signs of slowing down. We recently updated our North Shore Craft Beer Infographic to reflect the changes that have occurred on Lake Superior’s North Shore over the past year. At the rate of growth around here, we’ll likely need to update it again soon. With planned expansions in brewhouse capacity at a number of the local breweries, continued development of barrel-aging and sour beer programs, along with a growing thirst from craft beer lovers – locals and guests alike – the sky seems to pose no limit to the growth of our local craft beer scene.
In an effort to continually support Duluth’s brewing community – along with Superior and the expanding brewing capacity on the North Shore – we encourage fans, visitors, locals, critics… anyone and everyone who contributes to the social media buzz surrounding craft beer to use #DuluthBeerCity and help spread the word about what’s happening up here in the Northwoods of Beer.
