The 6-hour Split Rock Lighthouse Kayak Adventure provides a fun day trip on Lake Superior’s North Shore. Your tour will begin at 9:00am when you are met at the Fitger’s Complex in Downtown Duluth. You’ll hop aboard our comfortable tour van and sit back while your guide sets a course for Silver Bay – approximately 45 miles north of Duluth. Once you arrive in Split Rock Lighthouse State Park, you’ll embark on a fun paddle along the rugged North Shore of Lake Superior where you’ll learn about the nearby wreckage of the Madeira – a 436 ft steel hull ship that ran into Gold Rock just north of Split Rock Lighthouse during the storm on November 4, 1905. You’ll explore the shoreline and the geology of the North Shore before landing on shore to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch.
