When do you offer The Duluth Traverse Shuttle?

Do I need to pre-register for the shuttle or can I just show up?

  • Yep. Pre-registration is required.
  • If you haven’t booked the shuttle, don’t expect to ride the shuttle.
  • That said, if you see our van and there’s room. We’ll let you hop aboard.

Can I book a group for the shuttle?

  • Yes. The more folks you can get to join the ride, the better. We can accommodate up to 12 riders for each shuttle run and we provide a price discount for groups of five or more.

Can I book the shuttle if it’s just me?

  • Yes. You can book yourself. Just note that we will need a minimum of four riders (total) to run the shuttle. If we don’t hit that mark, we’ll let you know the night before the ride.

Can I book a private shuttle?

  • Absolutely. Just give us a call and we’ll pull together a shuttle for you and your group.
  • Most groups are looking for a single drop-off destination. For this typical shuttle run, we charge $50 + $15 per rider and can accommodate up to 12 riders.

Can I book a customized private shuttle?

  • Absolutely. We can arrange for multiple pickups and drop-offs as well as box lunches, supply drops, or even a fully supported ride. Give us a call and let’s set it up.
  • Costs for this type of customized shuttle will be determined after we learn more about what you’d like to do.

Will I get a confirmation email after I book the shuttle?

  • Yes! You should receive a confirmation email. Sometimes, this email gets routed to your spam folder so check there if you don’t see it.
  • The most important thing to bring with you is your driver’s license or some form of ID. We’ve got your name on our roster and we’ll check you in when you arrive.

Where (and when) do we meet The Duluth Traverse Shuttle?

  • The DT Shuttle currently runs on a set schedule on specific days. Please see the calendar above for upcoming shuttle options
  • Here’s the lowdown. When you book the DT Shuttle, you’ll specify a “From” location – where you meet the shuttle. That location has a departure time associated with it. Please note, that is the departure time so please be ready to load 10-15 minutes beforehand. Thanks!
  • You also specify a “To” location – a spot on The Duluth Traverse where you’ll be dropped off.

Is this a supported ride?

  • The DT Shuttle is a non-supported ride. Riders need to be self sufficient in navigating the trails and carrying all necessary food, water, and supplies. We’ll shuttle you from your vehicles to your drop-off location. From there, you’re on your own.
  • If you want a fully or partially supported sag wagon then give us a call and let’s set it up.

Would The Duluth Experience ever cancel the shuttle?

  • We need a minimum of 4 riders to run the tour. If this threshold is not met, we may have to cancel the shuttle and you will be refunded or booked on an alternate shuttle.

What is the policy if I have to cancel my ticket?

  • You will receive a full refund if your tickets are cancelled more than 72 hours ahead if time. There is a 50% refund if cancelled between 72 and 24 hours. There is no refund if you cancel with less than 24 hours before a tour.
