Community Dragon Boat Paddling: 6:30pm – 7:30pm

The folks at Blue Water Paddling are hosing a community paddle event at Barker’s Island. Give dragon-boat paddling a try for free. No previous experience necessary. Sunset Kayak Tour: 6:30pm – 9pm

This tranquil paddling experience is designed for all skill levels. Our knowledgeable and friendly guides will provide practical instruction on paddling techniques and water safety before leading you on a spectacular paddling experience under the setting sun. Chester Creek Concert Series: 7pm – 8:30pm

This free music series has been rocking for 37 years! With Chester Bowl Park as a beautiful backdrop for the stage, a playground just behind the grassy seating area, an alcohol, smoke, and drug-free environment, and a food truck from 8th Street Ice Cream, this is the best concert venue for families in town! Wednesday, July 3rd:

Glensheen Kayak Adventure: 9am – 1pm

Wednesday Night Group Ride: 6:30pm – 8:00pm

We’ve teamed up with Ursa Minor Brewing to provide a fun, social group ride every Wednesday. Our Duluth Traverse Shuttle will depart from Ursa’s parking lot at 6:30pm and transport riders and bikes up to the top of the hill. The bike ride will be about an hour and a half long and we’ll ride back down the hill to the brewery. Helmets and lights are required for the ride. Dress appropriately, and bring a water bottle! Concerts On The Pier – Charlie Parr: 6pm – 8pm

Charlie Parr headlines the 2019 season opener of Glensheen’s outdoor concert series, which runs every Wednesday in July. Charlotte Montgomery opens the show. This is the fifth season Glensheen’s 100-ft pier on Lake Superior has been the location of a concert sereies. This year the gates open an hour earlier, with an opening act to each night. Wednesday Night Sailboat Races: 6:15pm

The Duluth Yacht Club runs sailboat races every Wednesday night at 6:15 from mid May to mid September on Lake Superior and the Duluth-Superior Harbor within approximately 10 miles of the Duluth Shipping Channel. Fitger’s Brewing Complex Courtyard and other stops along Duluth’s Lakewalk offer particularly good vantage points.

Thursday, July 4th:

Duluth Fourth Fest: 4:00pm – 11:00pm

Duluth’s free Independence Day celebration features live music throughout the day and fireworks from 10:10 to about 10:30 p.m. The headline musical act is the genre-bending Junk FM. Here is the Fourth Fest schedule:
