Local Brew Supports Duluth Veterans
Canal Park Brewing’s Veterans Tribute On Tap In Duluth
Our friends at Canal Park Brewing have crafted a big beer for a big reason. The new Veteran’s Tribute Triple IPA was brewed in collaboration with Lake Superior Warriors – a local non-profit whose mission is to help disabled military veterans reintegrate into civilian life by building a sense of community, camaraderie, and self-confidence.
This is another craft beer collaboration with purpose – 25% of the beer’s proceeds going directly to support Lake Superior Warriors and their mission to help Duluth veterans.
As a military veteran himself, head brewer Ben Gipson felt a sense of duty to make this collaboration happen. I spoke with Ben to get his take on the collab. “This collaboration is important to me because I am a Veteran and I wanted to share this special experience with other veterans”, explained Gipson.
“Being able to create something that you put your heart and soul in and see people enjoy and appreciate it is the best feeling in the world. I wanted to share this experience with my military family.”
And in terms of the brew itself? “When creating a recipe that is so meaningful there is no choice but to go big or go home. So with the Veterans Tribute Triple IPA we did just that – BIG, BOLD and Bright. The flavor and aroma that comes from the veterans blend hops and the higher gravity created a perfect balance to offset its 99.9 IBU’s.”
Duluth veterans now have a big beer to honor their monumental sacrifices for our country. Thank you veterans!
